Advertising Sales Manager

You will be responsible for securing the requisite level of advertising revenue required for MADE. Based in Lagos, this position involves taking responsibility for growing existing client accounts and identifying and developing new business. You’ll be working with The Board to determine the overall strategy, and be measured and rewarded by the Board of Directors in your ability to meet aggressive targets. You will produce timely and accurate reports/forecasts/accruals and ensure full the full sales cycle is adhered to including responsibility for artwork submission. Research new leads and prospects and look to identify clients in new markets, whilst ensuring that the brands (and their respective artwork) represented in MADE are in keeping with our strategy and values.

Responsibilities:
Maintain and manage a database of prospects.
Generate New Business
Sell face to face
Present to medium and senior management level
Build up a good liaison with clients and advertising agencies
A high level of after-sales service and maintaining the relationship with clients is imperative
Monitoring of competitor markets
Identify potential markets and opportunities
Formulate own professional sales proposal
Update database
Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales target through new and existing clients
Planning and managing sales activities
A creative attitude towards advertising sales and be able to come up with innovative ideas for increasing revenue
Must be able to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
Attend functions after hours
Must be accurate, efficient and reliable when attending meetings and submitting weekly sales reports

Requirements:
Able to bring client accounts from an existing position
Minimum of 5 years experience required
Strong track record of achieving sales targets
Ability to work to deadline and reach targets
Must be confident, self motivated and disciplined
Strong organizational Skills
Ambitious
Flexible
Good listening skills
Well presented
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
Must have business writing skills
Strong verbal skills
Solution finding capabilities
