Marketing Executive
Title: Marketing Executive (Permanent Employment)
Reports to: Head of Marketing
Job purpose:
To plan and Carry out marketing and sales support activities, so as to maintain existing customers and develop new sales.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Maintain a computerised customer and prospect database.
2. Plan and carry out direct marketing activities (principally direct mail) to agreed budgets, values, product mix and timescales.
3. Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, telephone, and personal visits.
4. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with internal payment -processing staff. (Finance Department)
5. Carry out internal market research, competitor and customer surveys.
6. Manage the external marketing agency activities of the Marketing Department
7. Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
8. To arrange for effective distribution of marketing materials
9. To maintain, build and update mailing databases
10. To support the marketing manager, and other colleagues

Person profile - Marketing Executive
Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on customer relationship management and business profit.
A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior/junior company executives. Reliable, tolerant, and determined.
Able to see things from the other person's point of view. Well presented and businesslike.
Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player.
Specific Job Skills: Able to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
Understands the principles of marketing and advertising cost-effectiveness, including market sector targeting, product offer development.
Understands cost per response, cost per conversion, etc. Appreciates need for consistency within company's branding and marketing mix. Computer skills: Must be able to use MS Office 2003 or later, particularly Excel, power point and Word, and ideally Access or similar database to basic level, Internet and email.
Literacy and Numeric: Able to understand basic profit and loss calculations and basic business finance. Must be an average writer of business letters, and proposals.
Business and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator. Able to demonstrate success and experience managing customers and large sales, particularly achieving genuine sales development. Ideal background would be in business support services/ Customer Service; experience of real estate would be particularly helpful.
Requirements: First Degree with a minimum work experience of 3years.
